In 1693 the African Asameni tricked a Danish garrison into giving his men guns, and they took over the fort at Christiansborg. In order to interact with the spirits the Zulu must use divination to interact with the ancestors. This sharp rise was fueled by the infusion of large amounts of foreign aid following the signing of the Camp David peace accords with Israel in 1978 and the rise in oil revenue. The basin is bordered on the north by the Mediterranean; on the east by the Red Sea Hills and the Ethiopian Plateau; on the south by the East African Highlands, which include Lake Victoria, a Nile source; and on the west by the less well-defined watershed between the Nile, Chad, and Congo basins, extending northwest to include the Marrah Mountains of Sudan, the Al- Jilf al-Kabīr Plateau of Egypt, and the Libyan Desert (part of the Sahara).
