Looking at it historically, jazz followed the Black migration out of the south to the north,by way of Kansas City, Chicago and New York. It also did not list his middle name, taken from his maternal grandfather, Sphere Batts. Small bands mixing self-taught and well educated African American musicians, many of whom came from the funeral-procession tradition of New Orleans, played a seminal role in the development and dissemination of early jazz, traveling throughout Black communities in the Deep South and, from around 1914 on, Afro- Creole and African American musicians playing in vaudeville shows took jazz to western and northern US cities.

Enough said. article was OK until you got to number 1. country is definately the most hated followed by emo then probably metal. you ruined the article by puting your own thoughts into it for the #1 spot, not what is actually the most hated music by people in general. Coltrane later referred to this point in his life as a time when "a wider area of listening opened up for me. The orchestra is the important part in reggae performances. Sure, nothing gets my dopamine firing like Saxophone Colossus or Eminent JJ Johnson, but I have thoroughly dug a lot of recent releases, too ( Darcy James Argue’s music, championed by the “ahistorical” approach, happens to be some of my favorite stuff out there.) As I commented in Hale’s post, the jazz community is sort of like a big, dysfunctional family.

John blends classic rhythm and blues with blues styles. One of the major questions that will go forever unanswered is “How did jazz start?” The first jazz recording was in 1917 but the music existed in at least primitive forms for 20 years before that. Theory and techniques of jazz improvisation with an emphasis on the vocabulary, style, and repertoire of jazz since 1958. It proved to be his last top-10 Pop chart entry. As the "free" in "free jazz" implies freedom from functional tonality and traditional norms, therefore, contemporary classical music, I think, could likewise be aptly labeled "free classical."

Gospel music may refer either to the religious music that first came out of African-American churches in the 1930's or, more loosely, to both black gospel music and to the religious music composed and sung by white southern Christian artists. The difference was that white society still identified blacks with a separate race. Bebop, often referred to simply as bop, was the first modern, major post-swing style to emerge in jazz. Similar characteristics as gabber, sexcore is categorized as underground music because it is not popular to the public and is harder to find. The problem with emo music is – it sounds nothing like how the subculture *looks*. From 1963 to 1969, the Wilde Flowers included most of the figures who later formed Canterbury's two best known bands, (The) Soft Machine (Robert Wyatt, Kevin Ayers, Hugh Hopper) and Caravan (Pye Hastings, David Sinclair, Richard Sinclair, Richard Coughlan).
